A Midwinter Feast at Great Glen Stoves with Celebrity Chef Tim Maddams

It was a pleasure to host our VIP guests and introduce them to our fantastic new range of Esse range cookers. With 2 separate event slots we were able to demonstrate the versatility of the electric 1000 X Pro and the woodfired Iron heart, which is a firm favourite on River Cottage TV series featuring Hugh Fearnly Whitingstall and our charismatic Tim Maddams.

With mulled wine flowing and lots of aromatic christmas smells filling the showroom everyone was in the festive spirit. Tim showed that with three deep ovens and a combined 126L capacity, the Esse 1000 X Pro can handle everything from family roasts to show-stopping bakes with ease. ESSE’s unrivalled power share technology ensures fast heat-up times and consistent, energy-efficient performance.

Tim also effortlessly demonstrated how the ESSE Ironheart “Dog Bone” hotplate can comfortably accommodate up to six pans, showcasing its capacity and versatility for creative cooking. If a 50 litre oven capacity isn’t quite enough you can also cook directly in the firebox.

Starting with carrot hummus, flat bread, toasted walnuts, yoghurt and red cabbage shoots there were many more culinary treats to be tried from Brussel Sprout, kale & Isle of Mull cheddar Barley risotto to Whisky Chocolate Truffles and lots, lots more. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn some new hints and tips ready for the Christmas festivities and enjoy some delicious food.
